I didn't even know there was a mink farm about 5 miles from our house. Last night we heard on the news that over 8,000 Minks were let loose from this farm because protesters came in the middle of the night and opened all the cages. I guess they are animal rights activists and were not pleased with all the breeding of minks to make fur coats, etc. We found this one in our water well container and tried to catch it so the Kaysville City animal rescue dept. could come and pick it up. But it got out and ran into one of our window wells and it took Christian and two of his friends over 30 minutes w/ Christian in the window well to contain it. They came and picked it up and said they had found over 7,800 of the minks and only had a few hundred left to catch. They are vicious animals and have a mean bite. Glad we caught it and got it out of our neighborhood. Several people on our street found them and called animal control as well. Not very often do you find a MINK in your yard...
