Another great getaway!

It is fabulous having Julie Stevens and her family here in UT now. They moved up here last summer from Henderson and our daughters have been good friends for years. I love being able to get away and go up there and scrap. We started off at the beginning of the year saying that we would come to my house one month, then hers, etc.. Well, it hasn't quite worked out that way but that's okay. I love going up there to get away and visit and laugh and play-we have such a good time. This visit we had to add some "shopping" to our weekend so we went into SLC and visited a few stores. I totally have Julie in-hook, line and sinker! Got her to get the cricut laser cutting machine, finally buy some punches and then of course, we had to hit a few scrapbook stores. I have always thought that "Pebble In My Pocket" is a classic store that will have a simple look and be here forever. Then we went to "Pink Daisy." Cute, little, quaint store. Fun projects and some fun supplies. Here's to memories for making life good!!!

We did also have to hit the Subway, next to Pebbles In My Pocket, for a sandwich after all that shopping! It just wears you out!!! They are always so good. I always get a Turkey sandwich. The only condiment that Subway doesn't have is-avacados. I love avacados on a turkey sandwich, especially from "The Sconecutter."

You can see that we made a big mess-and didn't really get a lot done. Julie is very particular about her pages. I seem to do most of them for her and it takes days to do it just right. She is funny. It's all about the laughs, though. Good times, good friends.

Ashleigh came with me this time-she usually does so that she can hang with Natalie. It was Natalie's birthday, so we got to celebrate that event also. She was so excited-she got an iTouch for her birthday-just like the one Ash has. Ash's iPod was about to give up the ghost and she has been begging us to get it for her. I said absolutely NOT, she needed to pay for it herself or wait for her birthday or Christmas...well, with it being only March and her birthday and Christmas both in December, she just couldn't handle it and paid for it with her hard earned baby-sitting money. She is broke and will be for a long time now. But she has a smile from ear to ear and is thrilled to be part of the in thing-which I oppose 90% of the time. It is her daddy that gives in and lets her do just about anything. We need to crack down. smile-ha ha!!!
