WOW! Look at these kids. They are so much fun! I really do have to say that life is good with them around. They almost always do what I ask of them and are pretty willing to do it. They all three play the piano and although they don't all love it yet-I'm really thinking that down the line in a few years they will. Ash is now enjoying it and has for a few years. She can sit down and play a fun song and it is so fun to listen to her. She is getting quite good at the piano and the oboe. Then look at Emily and Christian. They are playing together and really enjoying each other's company. That doesn't happen all the time-but I would say that most of the time it does. Christian has a wild side to him, but he sure does have fun most of the time with his sisters. He teased today that he would "sell" his sisters to get a dog, but I'm convinced he would miss the company and friendship of them really fast.
I went to a multi-stake RS meeting on Saturday morning and the general theme of it was GRATITUDE! I have had that on my mind for over a year now and it is good to reinforce that often. We all have so much to be thankful for. Gratitude is BIG! I do believe that having gratitude with everything you do is important. I am constantly reminding the kids that they need to be grateful for all the "small and insignificant" things in life that we often take for granted. Some of those things I think about are: books to read-easily at our fingertips and accessible anywhere, clothes from the Mall-we could have to go to a second hand store to purchase clothing and we don't!, food in pantry and on the table each night, a job (or two or three-haha!) to provide the means to take care of our family, health-wow-that is a BIG one. I see so many people suffering and am grateful I have three healthy children who can run and play each day or for that matter can use their hands to play the piano and play with toys!
I can't help but think that LIFE really is GOOD-writing it down now makes me remember it often and for that I will be forever filled with GRATITUDE!!!
