Yes-Ashleigh did mess up. She thought she was being so cute. Oh my-it really didn't do anything on the attraction scale and definitely didn't do anything on the "cool" side either. But when I told her that this is the reaction that I got... as you can see by the pictures, she really didn't care what I thought and wasn't going to undo it by any means. She got invited to go to a friend's house for her 15th birthday. She thought it would be silly and fun to do her hair like this. It was definitely silly and crazy. She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed every minute-so she said. It was when I told her that it looked really funny that she went overboard and really over reacted. You would have thought that I was telling her she was "stupid" or something even worse. I ended up laughing so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants. She was running down the stairs to get away from me and I was trying to yell at her to come up so I could take pictures. It was pretty funny! A good way to end a day-Ash is definitely growing up and out of the hormonal stage. She can actually communicate with us and not have something smarty pants to say back to us. It was great!
"I'm not going to let you take a picture of me-you are so mean to me. I'm not going to turn around. You can't make me!"
"Ash, I just have to ask you a question. Turn around and answer me...opps! caught you-almost!"
"Ooh la la-Ash-you look marv-e-lous!" "So, I don't care, I think it looks fine!" It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If I want to wear my hair like this I can." "You are absolutely right Ash, if you want to look silly you can." "I don't look silly, don't say that." [by this time we are laughing so hard we can both hardly stand up and she is hoping I need to leave the room to run to the bathroom.]
"Okay fine-are you happy?" I'll let you take one more picture-I know what you are going to do with them-you are going to put them on your blog, aren't you? Why do you have to blog everything? I'm not going to smile though. Just take it!!!"
