Oh my, these girls are just a bit too funny. Cami Mendoza, next door, had several of the girls from her class over to play and do a "late night" thing. In Utah they don't have sleep overs, but instead they hang out and watch movies or play until late into the night. I think it is okay. if it is next door and I just have to walk over and get her at 11:00 p.m. BUT getting out on a Friday night at 11 p.m. to pick up kids from friends is crazy! I would much rather have them all over to my house-and the other kids mom's have to come over here than for me to run around and pick all of mine up at that time of night. Ash has one tonight-but luckily it is in the neighborhood, so it isn't too far. Anyway, these girls got all riled up about two boys in the neighborhood saying that they liked one of them and trying to pull her arm. They decided that they would put up a fight and be "tough girls" and go and throw footballs at the boys. They didn't want them to know who they were so they all put on these football jerseys and hats, had Ash put the black lines on them with eyeliner and were ready for the kill. They were trying to be tough, but would let out a laugh or two when they were posing. It was hilarious!!! They were doing the "peace out" sister thing and making really funny comments all night. It was fun to see them let loose and have fun. They all go to school where I teach, so they also thought it was pretty cool to be at their "teacher's" house on a Friday night. Wouldn't it be great to be that young again and just enjoy life when all you have to worry about is a 3rd grade boy who is goo goo gaa gaa over you and you think it is gross?!
