DEAL or NO DEAL!!!

We are crazy. Oh my gosh-I felt like we were back in college again. We had such a fun time. Nef and I had decided about a week ago when we saw the ad at the bottom of the T.V. during an episode that we should try out since there was going to be a casting call in SLC. We watch that show all the time and it really reminds us of my mom. When she was sick and we would take turns going to Boise to visit her, she would just want us to come in the room and watch "Deal or No Deal" with her. It is such a fun show of luck! Soooooo... the tryouts were for Sat. April 12th. Well, I called the RC Willey in SLC- where the tryouts were going to be- on Friday at about 6 pm and they said people were already lining up. Nef didn't really care about going but I wanted to go and be in the front of the line so we didn't have to stand all day Saturday in line waiting to be interviewed. We packed the car and headed down. Blankets, pillows, air mattress, chairs, food, drinks, you name it we even brought the laptop and movies to watch. By the time we got there about 175 people were in line. So we parked it and made the best of the night. I slept outside all night and Nef went to the car about 2:30 a.m. and slept. At 6 a.m. we got up, went to Nef's office about 3 blocks away and got ready for the day-then to Mickey D's for a quick breakfast. When we got back the line was starting to move and they were making everyone clean up and move stuff out of the way so that we could go into the warehouse and be ready to interview. It was crazy-they were expecting over 10,000 people and I'm sure by the time we left there was at least that many. Lucky for us, being in the front of the line paid off. We were done by 10:30 a.m. and headed home. Don't think we made the casting call, I did make it through 3 rounds of cuts-Nef didn't make any cuts! But I didn't make it to the final cut where they asked you to come back next week and do a mock filming. We had a good time though and it will definitely be something that we remember. We met a lot of fun and crazy people! There are some wild people here in UT. People came from all over...Boise, ID, Pasadena, CA, and every small town in UT you can imagine. I think I caught a bad cold from sleeping outside in 33 degree temps and have been in bed all weekend. Hopefully it won't last very long and will be gone soon. I feel really crappy...BUT I can say that for that one night while we hung out with crazy people just like us-Life was good!!!
