No cooking-HOORAY I'm in!!!

Lisa [Nef's sister] invited us over for dinner after the last session of conference. I was thrilled to know I didn't have to cook. Not that I ever do-but it makes for a good story.

Little did we know that there would 40 people there-that we didn't know. Not that it isn't good to get to know people and all, it was just funny to keep hearing the doorbell ring and another family walk in. Some of the people were from Las Cruces, NM and Nef knew them as they were friend's of the family. Others had been on a mission and served under this family friend and they had a reunion because it was Conference weekend and what better time to get together in SLC, UT?! right??? Ok, so a funny story- we have some neighbors that we met when they moved in and the husband grew up in Las Cruces and knew these family friends quite well. He wasn't LDS at the time and ended up moving when he was 7 yrs. old. But, Bro. and Sis. Flores loved him like he was family and basically treated him like he was too. Anyway, he and his family, were also invited to come to dinner to see long, lost neighbors from 35 years ago. So Bro. Flores and his two girls were there, some missionaries that he had in his mission and their families, us, the Denny's [Lisa's house], the Strahms, and numerous others...Nef invited the Strahms and forgot to tell me. So we go to dinner and here is the Strahm family-in our ward-anyway, it is strange how paths cross and life is all but a wicked web we weave!! It was a yummy dinner of Lasagna, salad, bread and dessert. With the Garcia's not having to bring anything and just relaxing it was the perfect end to a great Sunday!!!
